What are Grubs? – How to get rid of Grubs

Concerning Grubs:

Of all the pests that can take a bite out of your lawn, grubs are the worst. Grubs are the larval stage of insects such as Junebugs, Green Junebugs and Japanese Beetles, who burrow into the soil at night and feed on grass roots. They don’t show up until late summer and early Spring, but once they do you’ll start noticing dead patches of grass on the lawn that can be pulled up almost like a rug. Grubs thrive in warm, humid weather and will take over the lawn if they aren’t dealt with ASAP.

The best way to treat for grubs is with an active grub killer called Dylox. It is a systemic pesticide that works by targeting the nervous system of the grub, and it is coded specifically to grub DNA. The active ingredient in Dylox is trichlofloron — a product that has been studied and tested extensively to ensure it is both safe and effective.

Dylox is a granular product that can be purchased at any home improvement store, or we at Greener Living can apply it for you! Apply Dylox by carefully spreading it over the infested area. When applying granules, follow the directions on the product label and make sure you diligently water it in 24 hours after application.
